Life Changes

I haven’t used this in a long time, but just felt the need to journal a little bit today.  Hope that’s ok with you! :) Probably due to the fact that I feel like life has been changing alot lately.  Missio Dei is changing (which is exciting, but sad at the same time - people are being called different places, thus the duality of sadness and excitement).  My MC has changed and now exists with only three people, which you think would be discouraging because we lost alot of people, but alas its not.  Jonee, Mat and I share the same vision and seem to be more on the same wavelength so its really invigorating and down-right exciting because God is going to move and challenge us in ways we never thought possible.

Still have no full-time teaching job yet (though working at Lakeshore is good - made some new friends so we’ll see where that leads), but there is still hope (I have a lead on a job so if you could pray for that - that would be great!) and I have made alot of contacts in the last year so I know this is where God wants me - just trying to stay strong and be faithful.  It seems like I have been learning the lesson of faithfulness this past year; of staying strong and believing everything will work out in his time and not mine.  Faithfulness requires vulnerability and dependence / humbleness as well - which by the way, is not the easiest thing to do.  I just keep thinking - Thy will be done. :)  I got this quotes somewhere, don’t really remember but thought they were appropriate for this phase of my life - enjoy!  Hope you are having a fantastic day and are being continually challenged by God :)

“All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves, we must die to one life before we can enter another.” - Anatole France

“Serenity and inner beauty come when we wait upon God. ‘Waiting’ like that is not merely wasting time.” -Eva Burrows

“Wrangling fear is the biggest challenge the world faces now and the challenge we all face, now and again, at our crossroads, in those dark moments, at those times we are asked to compromise, at those times when we know deep down that we must revolutionize our own lives.” - Holly Morris
